As a publication, we are passionate about using our platform to raise awareness for as many initiatives, charities and social issues as possible. Mental Health hits home for us and we were privileged to feature @suppinmindscot in our first issue. Their aim is to improve the quality of life for anyone whose mental health problems or mental health illness is impacting on their life and on the lifes of others, including family members, friends and supporters.
Our Editor, Sophie visited their Stafford Centre a few weeks ago. The Centre is a community resource for people experiencing mental ill health who are living in the Edinburgh area. Their aim is to help people to manage their mental health, gain greater self-confidence and become more integrated within the community. They also offer great support to carers. It was impossible to not feel the positive energy in the place and Sophie left wishing she had been able to visit a place like the Stafford Centre with her father, who we sadly lost to mental health in 2016.

We all have mental health, so let’s stop this stigma. Please feel free to share this post to help raise the awareness for mental health and the services Support in Mind in Scotland.
